The ground truthing of your high definition crop images, or information collected on location, allows farmers to make real time decisions. AeroVironment Director of Business Development Mark Dufau says real time ground truthing is the next step in high technology. “There’s an advantage of being able to fly when you want to fly. Certain situations in the field are perishable and need attention right away,” says Dufau. “We get a quick look when the vehicle lands.” Dufau says collecting usable data is the goal.
