The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service plans to make another attempt to remove the gray wolf from Endangered Species Act protection. The proposal will be published in the Federal Register within a matter of days. Wolf depredation remains an issue for livestock operations, especially in Minnesota. The federal government has attempted to delist wolves previously, but the move has always faced legal challenges from animal welfare groups.
