The North Dakota Grain Growers Association is dissatisfied with the way the National Association of Wheat Growers is being operated and may leave the national organization. In an interview with RRFN, NAWG Immediate Past President Jimmie Musick said he wants to keep North Dakota in the fold. “Obviously, this is a concern, but we do think without a doubt that we are beneficial to every state; it doesn’t matter if you are the smallest state in the union or the largest state in the union, we will do our best to represent you.” NAWG also provided a statement to RRFN over the weekend. New NAWG President Ben Scholz said his organization “has a well-known presence on Capitol Hill,” provides “equal representation to all of its members” and wants “to move forward as one, unified organization.”
