South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson fielded questions on the farm bill and trade at the Aberdeen Ag Expo. Johnson says the government shutdown has caused a slow start for the House Agriculture Committee. “USDA is working hard to catch up,” says Johnson. “The Agriculture Committee also has an important role in farm bill implementation. Chairman Collin Peterson understands and cares about farm country. I look forward to working with him.”
