A bill that would provide more authority to the North Dakota Public Service Commission in the licensing of public warehouses and grain buyers passed unanimously in the state Senate. This bill also expands the indemnity fund. This proposal came out of the highly publicized insolvency of a roving grain buyer in the Devils Lake area. With that case, the PSC is investigating millions of dollars in losses.
