The North Dakota Legislature will be working overtime this week, bringing bills forward before Friday’s crossover date. The House Agriculture Committee gave a “do pass” recommendation to a bill that would exclude second cousins from the state’s anti-corporate farming laws. On the Senate side, a private property rights bill received a “do pass” recommendation and is on its way to the House. A bill that adjusts zoning regulations for livestock operations passed the Senate with a 38-7 vote and now goes to the House.
