Farm bill implementation was top-of-mind as local wheat growers met in Washington D.C. for a joint meeting between the National Association of Wheat Growers and U.S. Wheat Associates. NAWG CEO Chandler Goule says wheat growers eagerly discussed the conservation and commodity titles. “There were more changes to the conservation title in this new bill than others,” says Goule. “Growers talked directly with congressional staff on their intent and followed up with the NRCS talking about where they are moving forward in the programs.”
