The 8th Annual Precision Ag Summit was held in Jamestown, North Dakota this past week. Preston Sundeen, director, Precision Ag Department Director, Lake Region State College, says this event gives both farmers and students a glimpse at the technology. “They enjoy working with the software firsthand; using the tools in the tractor cab and their phones and iPads. It also provides with an agronomic background on how to bring in that return on the farm.” Sundeen says there is good demand for students with ag technology experience. “From technology to markets and new chemistries, there’s a lot for farmers to keep up with now-a-days.” Sundeen participated in a panel discussion at the event.
