The South Dakota Corn Growers Association hosted their annual meeting Saturday in Sioux Falls. Legislative and Industry Affairs Director Teddi Mueller says the South Dakota legislative session is top-of-mind. Property taxes will be a priority this year, with a move to change the productivity model used. “We’ve got to make sure if we’re making changes, we can predict some of the outcomes,” says Mueller. “Where taxes go down, they go up somewhere else. Who is that shifting to? How will that work? We have to be careful.” Mueller is also reviewing a few livestock bills for the session.
