The North Dakota Livestock Alliance hosted their firs-ever livestock summit in Fort Ransom. NDLA Executive Director Amber Boeshans is pleased with the turnout. The alliance is a new organization, featuring animal agriculture and commodity groups with a goal to help livestock producers be successful. There is interest growing in the alliance. “When we get a chance to speak with county and township boards, they have so many questions,” says Boeshans. “They may have authority for zoning animal agriculture, but they’ve never done a permit before. It’s interesting to build discussions and overcome the fear of the unknown.”
