The leaders of three Farm Credit System banks, including AgCountry Farm Credit Services President and CEO Marc Knisely, were in Washington, D.C. Wednesday to present the agricultural credit outlook for 2019. Knisely said large commodity supplies are impacting prices across-the-board, leaving many farmers and ranchers below breakeven levels. The farm credit officials welcomed the limited opening of Farm Service Agency offices, but emphasized it is important to get the offices opened on a permanent basis. With this being the loan renewal season, FSA provide direct and guaranteed loans through banks and the Farm Credit System.
