For the second straight year, President Donald Trump will be making a stop at the American Farm Bureau Federation Convention on Monday, January 14. This is the 100th annual meeting of the nation’s largest farm organization. It would be surprising to have a president visit a farm event (like the AFBF Convention) for two straight years, but Trump made that pledge a year ago. Last year, regulatory relief was a recurring theme in his address. With the current trade negotiations with China, there are expectations that trade will part of this year’s speech. Trump was the first president in 25 years to speak at last year’s Farm Bureau meeting.
