Ideal, South Dakota farmer and rancher Kim Vanneman will be the new South Dakota Secretary of Agriculture. In addition to farming and ranching, Vanneman is also a former state lawmaker and director in the Farm Credit System. Vanneman shares a vision for the future of South Dakota agriculture with governor-elect Kristi Noem. “We want to really promote, protect and grow the agricultural industry,” says Vanneman. “As we work together, we will make a strong team and make South Dakota a great agricultural state.” Vanneman will be sworn into office January 5.
