A Michigan farm couple that gained national attention when it filed for bankruptcy protection six years ago is now facing federal criminal charges. Michael and Melissa Stamp expanded their farm quickly by paying above-market rental rates. The farm also operated with numerous bank loans and lines of credit. The new criminal charges are for the conspiracy to commit bank fraud and crop insurance fraud.
