During Thursday’s Prairie Grains Conference, small grain and soybean farmers will reflect on the growing season and look ahead to next year. Minnesota Association of Wheat Growers Executive Director David Torgerson says wheat growers had a decent growing season. “We increased wheat acres this year. Growers are considering an increase in wheat acres again. Farmers are also exploring wheat varieties and how to market the crop.” At the conference, attendees will hear a market outlook from NDSU Extension Crops Marketing Specialist Frayne Olson and a weather forecast from North Dakota Agricultural Weather Network interim director Daryl Ritchison.
