The North Dakota Red Angus Association held their annual meeting and Red Select Sale in Bismarck this past weekend. NDRAA President Jodi Schriefer says one important discussion centered around new Expected Progeny Differences, or EPDs. “There have been some significant changes in how EPDs are now calculated,” says Schriefer. “Whether you raise Red Angus cattle or even buy bulls, it’s important to understand how those are calculated.” In addition, the ND Red Select Sale took place on Saturday. Approximately 80 head of Red Angus cattle were sold. The sale was held in conjunction with the North Dakota Simmental Association Classic Sale.
