During the Canola Expo, Northern Canola Growers Association Executive Director Barry Coleman updated farmers on the requests to include canola in the USDA Market Facilitation Program. Canola growers received no response from the USDA. Coleman said “some USDA folks acknowledged canola wanted to be part of the program, but their formula didn’t account for the crop.” In Coleman’s view, “2019 is up in the air for everyone.”
