Fewer Cattle on Feed in SD Compared to Last Year

There are 240,000 head of cattle in South Dakota feedlots as of November 1, down eight percent from one year ago. October placements are up seven percent at 74,000 head. October marketings are up seven percent from one year ago at 48,000 head.
