A delay in harvest progress is impacting the 2019 decision making process for farmers. Based in the Detroit Lakes, Minnesota region, LG Seeds Director of Dealer Development Jim Wensman says yields are variable. Despite the ongoing harvest, Wensman reminds farmers to start making a plan for next year. “In your mind, you have to keep every year separate. The biggest cash discount periods are now, and you have to start making some of those decisions.” As decisions are made for 2019, Director of Dealer Development Doug Little says LG Seeds offers tools and technologies to help farmers. “Our weathertrends 360 program can help predict weather 11 months out with 84 percent accuracy.” Little adds combing the technology with agronomic history aids in hybrid selection.
