There likely be a wide divide between the Trump Administration and a new Democratic majority in the House. Syngenta Senior Lead of Federal Government Relations Mary Kay Thatcher says the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement could be one area with support from both sides. “I think there are Democrats in the House who don’t want to give President Trump that win, but I also think they also realize that won’t play very well in the 2020 elections.” Infrastructure is another area that could move in 2019. “Both parties are talking about broadband, but there are also things needed to improve our waterways and railroads and rural roads aren’t very good. That’s one of my highest hopes for 2019.”
