The Chief Agricultural Negotiator in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, Gregg Doud, explains there are some details being worked out on the U.S. Canada Mexico Agreement, like Canada’s wheat grading system. “We’ve got some variety issue language we need sorted out, but we’ve made progress on things.” There is language included addressing Canada’s dairy management supply program. “We were glad we were able to have the conversation, in addition to getting more access into Canada for dairy.” Now that U.S. Mexico Canada Agreement negotiations are complete, lawmakers will need to approve the agreement.
