It’s been a struggle to get the sugarbeet harvest wrapped up. American Crystal Sugar Company general agronomist Tyler Grove says cold and wet weather is the nemesis of harvest. “Growers are doing great trying to get on top of the harvest. We have about 25 percent of our piling stations officially done. We’ve had 16 to 19 stations open based on weather and who can dig.” Grove says its not just one area struggling. “We want to get done what we can.”
