In the Dawson, North Dakota area, soybean and corn harvest are in full swing. Elite Ag Services owner Neil Fanta says farmers are taking off average to above average crops. “Soybean quality has been real nice and moisture content seems to drop every day. While yields are lower in drier pockets, most farmers are surprised by the above average yields.” Even on poorer ground, Fanta says there aren’t too many disappoints with the corn. “Moisture is still in that 18 to 20 range, but at least farmers are able to harvest. The recent weather has deteriorated some of it. The down corn will have to be harvested soon.”
