Utterback Marketing President Bob Utterback says if you can lock in 2019 corn at a profit, take advantage.“You sell the corn, lock in the carry and start selling new crop corn and not plant any beans next year. That’s my official recommendation. We both know nobody’s going to take that total recommendation. All we need is a 10 percent increase in corn acres to get nine million acres.” Utterback says the shift in acres could result in similar prices to what we are seeing now.
