In a review of the USDA Market Facilitation Program, the American Farm Bureau Federation says the soybean payments will average $43.56 per acre. That’s based on a payment on half of a farmer’s production. This analysis predicts Minnesota farmers will average $41.28 per acre; South Dakota at $40.42 and North Dakota at $29.70. The corn payments will be much smaller, averaging 95 cents in Minnesota; 86 cents in South Dakota and 71 cents per acre in North Dakota.
