National Milk Producers Federation Senior Vice President of Communications Chris Galen says the clock is ticking to review the U.S. Mexico Canada Agreement. “The longer an agreement goes on, it can be harder to conclude because it gets picked apart by a lot of different stakeholders. I think that’s a reason why there was a rush to get it done at the end of September and the beginning of October.” Galen says it’s possible the agreement will be reviewed after the elections, but could be delayed until next year. “We are hopeful that when the dust settles, whether it gets voted on this year or next, that Congress can move towards approving the agreement.“
