Numerous topics were addressed during President Donald Trump’s news conference after his United Nations speech Wednesday, including agriculture. Regarding the trade dispute with China, Trump seemed very bullish. “They’ve started buying again. We’ve had very little hurt from what I’ve done. In fact, the markets have gone up and the farmers are going to do great.” In reality, U.S. soybean prices have declined since the trade skirmish began with China. Trump said farmers appreciate the fact their president is fighting for them. “The farmers are going to come out great. These are great, great people; they are great, great patriots.”
