The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has charged two men with attempted price manipulation in wheat futures. Meanwhile, the CFTC has also settled charges with Kooima and Kaemink Commodities of Sioux Center, Iowa. This firm must pay nearly $12 million in restitution to farmers and a $1.25 million civil penalty. Kooima and Kaemink are being charged with fraud and unauthorized trading of cattle futures.
