The New Energy Spirit Biomass Refinery will break ground on its new facility in the spring of 2019. This renewable fuel refinery will produce cellulosic ethanol made from wheat straw at the Spiritwood Energy Park near Jamestown. In addition to cellulosic ethanol, the plant will produce lignin which can be used as a composite material that replaces metal parts in cars and other products.
