There is optimism for the corn and soybean crops in the Elbow Lake, Minnesota area. Pioneer sales associate Leah Johnson, who works with Red River Marketing, is excited about this harvest. “The crop is looking phenomenal and I wish Mother Nature would let us get in and combine soybeans. There are some guys in the Elbow Lake area are nosing into some specialty soybeans, early beans and early-planted corn.” Johnson is anticipating above-trendline yields with soybeans averaging 50 bushels per acre and corn expected to come in well over 200 bushels per acre.
