Negotiations between the U.S. and Canada will continue this week. Canada’s protectionist dairy policy is one of the biggest hurdles for the United States. The White House wants to have a preliminary NAFTA deal in place by October 1. The U.S. and Mexico already have a tentative agreement, which puts added pressure on negotiators to come to terms on a deal with Canada.
