Hallock, Minnesota farmer Dan Younggren says the trade war has influenced basis. “My soybean basis is $1.75 at my local elevator. My elevator manager has told me they’re going to $2. The USDA relief package won’t cover much.” Younggren says USDA’s Market Facilitation Program is good to have, but it won’t make farmers whole.
