Sugden Harvesting owner Rick Sugden is harvesting soybeans near Hallock, Minnesota. “The crop is just average. The potential was there in early August, but they just dried up. We’re 25-to-30 bushels per acre for beans. Parts of the field could be about 40 bushels an acre.” Sugden’s combining team is headed back to Gettysburg, South Dakota this week. “The soybean crop is getting close, but the farmers aren’t hoping for much of a crop, about 30 bushels per acre.” Harvest Hotline is sponsored, in part, by U.S. Custom Harvesters Incorporated.
