North Dakota custom combiner Mike Matejcek is harvesting spring wheat near Wahpeton. Matejcek says the crop varies quite a bit. “Actually, I think we got hurt a little bit. Earlier, it got a little hot. Yields aren’t as good as they look from the road, but they are still somewhere between the 60s and 70s. The proteins are all over the board, too.” Matejcek says later wheat is uneven.
