USDA says the nation’s corn crop dropped one percentage point to 71 percent good to excellent in Monday’s crop progress report. Sixty-seven percent of the soybeans are now good to excellent, down three points. Ninety-six percent of the corn crop is silking, 57 percent has reached the dough stage and 12 percent is dented. Ninety-two percent of the soybeans are blooming and 75 percent are setting pods.
