The U.S. Department of Agriculture is making $4 billion available for rural communities and water districts to apply for loans to improve or rebuild infrastructure. Eligible rural communities and water districts can apply online for funding to maintain, modernize or build water and wastewater systems. The money is available through USDA’s Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant program. Included in USDA’s latest investments is Wheeler’s Point Sanitary District in Baudette, Minnesota to replace the district’s old sewer system.
