Scattered rains across Minnesota continues to limit fieldwork, but crops look ok. USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service says eight percent of Minnesota’s corn crop is in the silking stage, three days ahead of average. The corn is rated 79 percent good to excellent. Thirty-two percent of the soybean crop is blooming, three days ahead of last year and two days ahead of average. Soybeans are rated 75 percent good to excellent. Eleven percent of the spring wheat is coloring, two days behind average. Spring wheat conditions are rated 85 percent good to excellent. Eighteen percent of dry edible beans are blooming. Sugarbeet condition is rated 75 percent good to excellent.
