In the fall, the University of Minnesota-Crookston is offering a new Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Communications degree. University of Minnesota Agriculture Business lecturer Margot Rudstrom says there is a need for agriculture communicators. “With fewer people involved in agriculture, we need to be able to communicate the benefits of agriculture on the local economy, regional economy and national economy.” The student reaction is better than expected. Rudstrom says eight students are registered for the program. Five were expected to register.
