North Dakota Senator John Hoeven says the Senate farm bill is an improvement over the existing legislation. “There will be some issues in conference we have to work out. There’s something on food stamps with the House. Payment limits is another one where we’re going to have to find something between the two.” Lawmakers will go to work on a conference committee to hammer out the differences between the two bills. The report will go for a vote in both chambers and if passed, will go to the president’s desk for a signature. RRFN’s Farm Bill Focus is sponsored, in part, by the North Dakota Corn Growers Association.
