The corn crop has taken off in that area north of Bagley, Minnesota. Robert Johnson, who farms at Clearbrook, had a slow start to the planting season. “We had a little struggle getting the crop in this spring because we had so much deep frost and the sidehills were leaking water. After everything was in, the growing degree units are great and we’re probably ahead of last year and that was a good year.” Johnson uses fungicides in his row crops to protect plant health. “I really like it in the corn.”
