Crop conditions vary widely across the region. NorthStar Genetics regional sales manager Kyle Krump says the poorest stands are being seen in the early-planted corn in the southern Red River Valley, particularly in Wilkin County and southern Cass County. Those uneven stands could be an issue this fall. “Now that the corn is knee-high or waist-high, it masks some of that in the field. It is not going to be really good come harvest time in some of those places.”
