National Dairy Month is an opportunity to highlight the importance of the dairy industry. According to North Dakota Livestock Alliance Executive Director Amber Boeshans, dairy farmers are dedicated to animal care. “They are constantly attentive to herd needs. We love to share that with the consumer and instill that confidence in them,” says Boeshans. “Farmers do their best everyday to ensure the food they’re producing for friends, family and others is safe and nutritious.” Dairy Month events include a Dairy Day at Dr. Dawn’s Pet Shop in Jamestown and a Breakfast on the Farm at Northern Lights Dairy near Mandan.
