Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton will not see the nitrogen fertilizer rule implemented this year. The Minnesota House and Senate Agriculture Committees have used their authority to prevent the adoption of the controversial rule until after the next legislative session, which ends in late May, 2019. The Minnesota Department of Agriculture plans to continue with its public information meetings and the administrative rule-making process.
