USDA will now accept disaster assistance applications from farmers and ranchers who suffered livestock losses due to natural disasters. This is for losses suffered in 2017 or 2018. The budget bill passed by Congress included changes in these programs. It removes payment limits for the Livestock Indemnity Program and drops the funding cap for this emergency assistance.
