The blue and gold jackets will soon gather on the North Dakota State University campus. Members from across the state are preparing for a variety of career and leadership development contests. North Dakota FFA Treasurer Hannah Gress says there is a contest for all members, regardless of their background. “There are many different competitions such as food science, dairy cattle judging and floriculture. The big takeaways are public speaking skills, how to communicate with others and sales pitches.” This year’s convention schedule has been condensed from five days to four. The North Dakota State FFA Convention will take place June 4-7.
