Any time an anti-sugar amendment comes up for a vote in Congress, American Sugar Alliance Director of Media Relations Phillip Hayes says it should be taken seriously. “There are people out there who want to write sugar producers out of the farm bill. There are people financially motivated to increase subsidized importation in to this country and outsource our sugar production.”
