Trade was on the agenda when President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping talked by phone Tuesday. In a statement, the White House said Trump is committed to having a trade relationship with China that is balanced and benefits American businesses and workers. Chinese state media is reporting Xi told Trump the two countries should find a way to properly settle trade disputes. China’s vice premier is coming to Washington to continue trade negotiations with the U.S.
