Renewable Fuels Association President and CEO Bob Dinneen says the White House RFS meeting will result in expanded markets for ethanol. There was also discussion about a RIN on ethanol exports. Dinneen says an export subsidy would likely result in trade retaliation. “The beneficiaries of the RIN for export would be oil companies and the people that would have to bear the brunt of any trade retaliation would be ethanol producers and farmers across this country. You’re asking farmers to subsidize the bottomline for very profitable oil companies and I’m sorry, but that dog don’t hunt.”
