Monsanto Chairman and CEO Hugh Grant will be leaving Monsanto when Bayer AG acquires the company. In a statement, Grant says he’s made the decision to pursue new opportunities following the closing of the transaction. However, the statement doesn’t clarify new opportunities. Other members of the Monsanto Executive Team will be departing the company shortly after the closing including Chief Technology Officer Dr. Robb Fraley, Chief of Staff and Community Relations, Janet Holloway and others. Bayer AG’s acquisition of Monsanto is expected to take place in the second calendar quarter of 2018.
