American Crystal Sugar Company sugarbeet growers are nearing the halfway point in this planting season. As of Friday, general agronomist Tyler Grove said planting was 45 percent complete. Even with early planted beets, Grover has not seen any emergence. “It’s too early for those. We’ve heard of some sprouting going on, but nothing up and out of the ground yet. However, with the good moisture, it shouldn’t take long.”
